In April 2017, the head of Skolkovo Robotics 2017 suggested that we implement a project for a robot for making coffee. We are representatives of the Skoltech Robotics Laboratory and the CVLRobotics team of the Mechanical Engineering University (Moscow Polytechnic University). The exhibition took place on April 21, 2017, and the project aroused great interest among visitors.

The main idea of the project was very simple:
Тake a coffee machine with large buttons and make the robot press these buttons depending on the customer's order.

Of course, depending on the drink, the robot program changed slightly, since, for example, cappuccino takes longer to prepare than espresso. For more interest of visitors, we have implemented a palletizing mode for obtaining a new glass and rather complex trajectories of the robot.
