Remote Terminal is one of the devices from the flexible production line equipment set that is designed to be controlled during a test run within a test project.

The Remote Termainl simulator provides an opportunity to study the methods of developing applications for the Internet of things in the absence of real equipment. The RTSimulator comes as an application for Microsoft Windows. You need to download and run it.

Before using the application, create an ApplicationKey and Thing on the platform ThingWorx, as well as a Service as part of the Thing.
Start the RemoteTerminal application and enter the required parameters. You should also know the address and port of the server installed on the local network. Instead of "localhost" use 127.0.0.1.
After that press the button "Connect to ThingWorx".

Remote terminal
Remote terminal is used to control flexible production cell. The terminal has four indicating signal lights of different colors, three function buttons, and an emergency switch. The terminal must be set for connection with the ThingWorx platform.

Monitoring parameters:
- DeadManSwitch – program robot control switch, key – p, integer, 1 – on, 0 – off.
- FunctionButton – function buttons, keys – b1, b2, b3, integer, it transmits the number of clicks since the remote control has been turned on,

Control properties:
- Lights – color lamps-indicators (4 colors – blue, red, yellow, green), integer, 1 – the lamp is on, 0 – the lamp is off, keys – L1, L2, L3, L4 (each key corresponds to one lamp in the specified order, i.e. L1 controls the blue lamp, etc.).

Recommended thing name: RemoteTerminal

Configure the ThingWorx cloud to allow passing AppKey as a query string parameter.
This configuration is required on kernel version 7 and higher.

4. Check the box next to Allow Application Key as URL Parameter
